Parks and Recreation Committee

The parks and recreation committee is an appointed citizen body with the primary responsibility of providing recommendations to the Mayor and City Commission on direction, planning and policy on matters pertaining to the acquisition and development of public parks, greenways, open spaces, and public facilities. The parks and recreation committee may make such other recommendations to assist the Commission in developing and preserving aesthetic, maintenance, recreational and cultural values that serve the public interest. It may also perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Commission.
