Notice is hereby given that the City of Munising Planning Commission of the City of Munising, Alger County, Michigan, will hold a public hearing on November 12th, 2026, at 5:15 pm in the Commission Chambers of City Hall, located at 301 E. Superior St., Munising, Michigan, 49862, to consider the following:
Proposed amendment to Article 3, Division 1, Section 325 – Short-Term Rentals of the Zoning Ordinance.
The proposed amendment updates the number and location of short-term rentals permitted in the City of Munising, as well as updates the STR application and renewal process. The proposed amendment, Zoning Ordinance, and Zoning Map may be inspected during business hours at City Hall.
Any interested person may submit their views in person, in writing, or by signed proxy prior to the public hearing or at the public hearing. Written comments may be sent to the City of Munising/Zoning Administrator, 301 E. Superior St, Munising, MI 49862, sent via email to citymanger@cityofmunising.org, or dropped off in the drop box next to the City Hall entrance.
